Family Portraits
with a little
— dysfunction
and a whole lotta
— love love love
wow, can you feel time flying?
My first child was born in 2016 and every year I look back on baby photos a little more stunned at the passing of time. I’m so familiar with my son as an independent five-year-old I can hardly grasp that he used to be just a gooby little baby, needing me constantly.
I don’t think I need to convince you about the value of family photos.
formals, of course. but how about those in-between, real-life moments?
I take my time documenting families. Yes, we need photos of everyone smiling and looking at the camera, but let’s also get the snuggles, the laughter, the burps. The shared joy and the shared exhaustion. The magic and curiosity of childhood (before those grumpy teenagers emerge 😉)
it won’t be like this forever.
let’s capture it while it is.
